STEPHEN L. SMITH, CPA
Steve is a founding partner of the firm specializing in the business, accounting, and tax needs of closely held businesses, professionals and individuals. Steve has over thirty years experience working with clients in a wide variety of industries and professions.
Steve received his BA degree from the University of Rochester as well as an MBA from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration of the University. Certified in 1975, he was a partner in another Rochester firm for several years before leaving to found DeMott & Smith PC.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Steve has been an adjunct faculty member of the Rochester Institute of Technology, a lecturer for the Foundation for Accounting Education, and has held a number of positions with not-for-profit organizations.
